Say's the fan of a school in Jonesboro, AR.

This is par for the course in Boone, Asheville and Wilmington, NC. You get used to it. Drive one county over in any direction and you are more likely to have the Jonesboro mindset.

I much prefer the ECU approach. Them booing their own band off the field for idiotically playing the national anthem while down on one knee may be the greatest band related incident at a college football game in history.

To me, it didn't seem that they were playing either. Marching Band is a voluntary class with no real bearing on anything relating to graduation, as such, I believe that as a voluntary member of the group, you need to play the program as directed or get out.

This has nothing to do with expressing oneself and everything to do with uniformity while marching, which has always been the standard.

People much remember, German citizens used to solute the Nazi flag and their anthem as well.

Well considering a large number of Germans who refused to salute the Nazi flag ended up dead, I'm not sure we can blame them.
