It's been raining here in NC since last night due to the outer outer bands. Heading East due to some function that isn't cancelled about an hour out of OBX. Should be fine but they are forecasting around 10 inches of total rainfall on top of already saturated ground from a couple of weeks ago so we will see what happens. My brother is in the West Ashley neighborhood of Charleston so i'm pretty sure he's out of the way of any storm surge that is bound to hit them anytime.

RE: OT - Hurricane Matthew
Been keeping up with family via text starting last night with cousin that lives in Wellington (near West Palm). It missed them. Some heavy rains and wind. Lost power about 3 times during the night. I had put her on a Carl Hiassen novel to get through it.

This morning checked in with Uncle in Lake Helen. Lost power and a few limbs sown. Everything else ok.

Then checked on cousin in Apopka and another in Altamonte Springs. Both fine. Some heavy winds and rain but no power loss.

An Aunt and Cousin in Sanford lost some tree limbs and one tree but nothing on the house. All else well.

Checked in often with Aunt in Jacksonville and last word was all ok. Actually lives in Orange Park.

Very happy all made it fine.

I hope all of our conference brothers in the Carolinas come out okay too.

Think you can skip the boat, as well as any plans to leave the country .. . Thanks to the Hollywood Access tape, looks like Trump may be Done ... . 03-lmfao

For anyone that might not know what sweetheart circle is supposed to look like and won't know how devastating this is.

Eastern NC about an hit and a half northeast of Greenville is pretty bad at this point. Saw five trees down, multiple power lines, and about twenty places where the road was flooded over a good two to three feet deep and the bulk of the rain and wind hasn't arrived. Power is out in Charleston still I believe as well. Also heard that Johnson Haygood Staium of the Cotadel was underwater.

Just got back to the middle of North Carolina from being about an hour Northeast of Greenville, NC over the weekend and for the most part, everything east of Raleigh is a mess. Major highways (64 and 17) are still closed in certain places due to rivers flowing over their banks from the run-off at higher elevations. Lumberton, NC saw levees break resulting in about 1,500 more people needing evacuation today. I saw more than one house partially submerged around the Windsor area and power had been out since about an hour or so before the real brunt of the storm arrived.

Driving back from the store we had to cross about 18 places where water was running over roads (two of which ended up resulting in the roads collapsing later that night) as well as one area where three or four successive power poles were snapped in half, and this was at around 8:00 PM Saturday night.
