The Ole Miss game made me excited for the rest of the season because I really do think we can challenge. Like people dont seem to get that Ole Miss is really really good no matter what their record is currently. And yeah we lost by 20 but it still didn't feel like a beat down to me.

This. We didn't get our doors blown off. I saw some areas for improvement that I'm sure the staff will address on film. I also saw some things that bode well for the future. I think our o-line and QB will only get better with experience and that is exciting.

Exactly. I don't understand people who are angry about attendance. I get it if you love the Memphis Tigers and you wish that everyone else did too and that there would be 50K fans at every game. But why get angry about it? Who are you angry at? People that don't care enough to go to the games? Or people who have other obligations?

You'll be much happier if you just focus on what you can control and enjoy watching the Tigers play.

If you can't be happy without 50K fans or more in the stadium, then you do have other options: become an OM or UT fan. Or Alabama. Otherwise, accept reality.

Most sane people make their decision to go to a game/not go based on two primary factors: 1) Will it be worth my time/money to go (i.e. will I have fun watching the game, tailgating, spending time with friends, etc.) or, 2) Am I able to go (i.e. do I have other obligations such as kids, school/work, etc.)

There are some Friday Night Light crazies out there who deviate from this decision making process and will go no matter how bad a team is or no matter what other responsibilities they should be tending to because they have some warped belief that they owe it to the team no matter the circumstances. That's when you've lost control of your life. You go because you enjoy it and because you are able to go. If not, then don't.

They lost by three scores (nearly 3 TDs), but I get your inference. They had their moments overall and made it competitive for a short period.

I've been watching a lot of CFB this year and you'd be surprised at the games that are close for 3 quarters that end up with a blowout type final score.

just so I understand: the bottom of the barrel consists of folks who don't go followed by "early leavers" with super fans who stay until the very last second are at the very top? Just want to get the fan pecking order right.

I get your point and I am not mad at people that dont go (dissappointed, though). If you want the program to grow and the City to be all it can be, then you need to willing to invest your time and energy, even if you aren't entertained to the gills. If you dont enjoy the games, I cant expect someone to go, but our fans need to overcome inconvenience and not that be a factor. If you CAN make it, MAKE it, and try to bring some friends and acquaintances.

Going by advanced stats, the 2014 Memphis.Ole Miss game was one of the ten biggest beatdowns in FBS all season. How it was 7.3 going into the 4Q is a miracle. Ole Miss was playing at a 95+% level, Memphis 5%.

Memphis played at a 40% level Saturday and the stats back that up. You're just not going to win games in which you give up 24 points off turnovers.
