After He Admitted Her “Basement Dwellers” Comment Bothered Him…
How dare he!
Quote:The Hillary Clinton campaign has canceled joint appearances with former primary opponent Bernie Sanders after he admitted that “of course” it bothered him that Clinton seemed to be talking down to his supporters in hacked audio from a fundraiser.
The two were set to have joint appearance together Monday. Instead, Sanders will appear in both Iowa and Wisconsin on Monday to boost her candidacy without her.
Clinton is now scheduled to swing through Iowa later in the week, but possibly without Sanders, who was asked on CNN’s “State of the Union” if it bothered him that Clinton had referred to his younger supporters as “the children of the great recession” who “live in their parents’ basement” to Democratic Party donors.
“Well look, of course it does,” said Sanders, but he went on to rationalize it by saying “So we have differences. There’s nothing to be surprised about. That’s what a campaign is all about.”

I don't know if you can even call it rearranging. More like she just wants to turn a few of the apples over to hide the rotten spots.

I was going to post her appearances in MN and WI last night, but was too tired. Interesting to note that she is campaigning there. Would make that last MN poll which said the race was a tie credible.
Ironically, I listened to the snippet from the speech this morning on the way in to work (while sitting in the middle of an a.m. traffic jam from three accidents).
The "basement dweller" comment was actually NOT that bad in context.
She basically said that we have people who have to live in their parents' basements / homes, because they're having problems finding jobs.
Now that being said, she missed the mark completely when talking about people coming out of college and upset that they can't get the job they "want".
But the basement part of her comment should not have bothered Sanders as much as it did.

yeah, you're right. but I'm sure you understood my metaphor. a socialist doesn't want to reform capitalism, he wants to blow it up, criminalize capital, and start over. she just wants to rent out the lincoln bedroom to rich saudis.

Bernie supporters acting like they won't vote for her......LOL. Shut up and punch the "D" card, basement dwellers. You were going to the whole time anyway.
Right wing spin. In context her remarks were sympathetic and Bernie knows that and has defended her. Joint events got canceled but Bernie is still campaigning for her on his own and will be hitting the trail hard these next few weeks.
Why do you mock people who are struggling? It's not the millenials' fault the economy is **** compared to the one their parents enjoyed. They didn't offshore those jobs, create the housing bubble, deregulate Wall Street, invade Iraq, vote the rich tax breaks to ballon the debt etc etc

or make excuses for the results of their own laziness . . . or blame everyone else in the universe for their own shortcomings . . . or use the three active braincells they have left that aren't clogged with bong resin to attempt to help themselves . . . or actually appreciate the fact that daddy can't retire until they move the **** out of the basement, and he's pushing 75 . . .

You're right, it's not their fault the economy has been sputtering terribly the past 8 years on Obama's watch - unless you assign blame to them because they chose to vote him in for a 2nd term. At the same time, no one put a gun to their heads to pursue bullsh!t degrees like Women's Studies, African American Studies or other social science majors that had no real job prospects in the real world. I know a lot of millenials who went to school for STEM degrees and have found gainful employment pretty quickly. The real problem is you have idiots choosing to major in stupid **** with the assumption that all they need was that piece of paper to unlock the kingdom. Blame the dept of education and the various teachers/guidance counselors out there who pushed a half truth about getting a 4 year degree. Yes, a bachelor degree can unlock a lot of doors for you IF...you get the right one. Sadly, the right degrees are the ones you have to do real work for.
There is your problem. The economy needs CNC programmers, welders and various other skilled jobs for tomorrow's manufacturing needs. A lot of millenials choose to pursue degrees focused on social science/humanities degrees that had little demand in the real world and even worse the pure garbage degrees focused around SJW concepts. That's why you have a bunch of millenials in their parents' basements...

Correct. Its Obamas fault that after 8 years this is what they have.
Quote:They didn't offshore those jobs
Correct, that was Bill and Hillarys unfair trade deals
Quote:, create the housing bubble
correct, that was the democrats who blocked any attempt to reform
Quote:, deregulate Wall Street
correct, and thanks to Obama, those guys are rolling it cash now
Quote:, invade Iraq,
correct. thanks Hillary

or give hundreds of millions to Solyndra and other solar companies that went bankrupt. Or cash for clunkers. Or a trillion dollars on shovel ready jobs where Obama couldnt find shovel ready jobs, yet our infrastructure has crumbled under Obama. Or the $10trillion in debt Obama has racked up.
Congratulations Max, you have done a great job of showing why everyone should vote Trump and avoid Hillary.
