If that was the case, only way Tubby signs it is if he knew he was on thin ice.

That is my thought as well. We are likely back to what we owed Tubs a couple years ago for a buyout (over $1M maybe even up to $2M).
I thought someone had posted that it was 1M now and 500k on January 1, 2017 under the current contract.

It was posted but until I see the extension, it sounds strange.

Not sure why any attorney would let their client sign an extension of years on a personal services contract but not an extension of the protective provisions unless they had a proverbial gun to their head.

Tuberville was pretty poorly positioned to make demands last year. Between the USF loss and the SD State loss, combined with a season UC was expected to compete for a conference title and fell flat on their face I could easily see UC having the leverage to say they aren't giving him any extension unless he takes favorable buyout provisions. It gives Tuberville a year to bet on himself righting the ship and maybe a chance to go back when he has more bargaining power and it gives UC the flexibility to move on if it doesn't work out (while the years are still important for recruiting).

Hope so. Would mean Bohn is also hedging his bets which would be great news.

RE: Two Injuries and Their Impact
Bohn had to extend Tuberville last year. Either that, or fire him. If you keep him as coach without an extension, Tuberville would be absolutely useless on the recruiting trail (not that he's lighting it up anyways). As soon as the decision was made not to let him go, an extension was pretty much inevitable. I wouldn't read too much into it.

Sorry guys. But I dont see Bohn being that kind of guy to think that far ahead. I just see the guy that I think messed up Colorado with ever hire he did for Football. I could be wrong that he did not make all those bad hires there.

You think it wise to divulge that information on a public forum?

You talkin' to me? Or are you objecting to someone making a completely unsupported claim on a public forum as if it is fact?

Yes, talking to you. Clearly its not supportable given hed be outing someone on a public forum. But the alternative is to call the guy a liar which I won't do.

There's plenty he can say. He claims to know what "many of their families" are saying. What constitutes "many" families on a team of around 85 families? 30?20? 10? You really think he's personally heard that from "many" families? When - was it this year? Under what circumstances? From famiies of guys who are playing or of guys who aren't? What are their specific criticisms?

While still falling far short of proof, none of the above would be outing anyone beyond what he has already claimed. I'm not calling anybody a liar, but just because a rooster crows something, doesn't mean he knows what he's talking about, much less make it true.

I talked to some old room mates of some of the players at the game. It sounded similar to what rath is saying. He is losing the athletes. I will not mention player names, mostly it isn't worth dragging them through mud.

Oh my. We have awoken the Internet Totem Warrior who has been mocked. 10,000 years of bad Ju-Ju.

If you think anyone is going to post names of current players to subject them to punitive measures or a doghouse that alredy houses one 5th year QB, you are a moron. A complete and unredeemable moron. Can't do nuttin fer ya. Missed your comments on the Twitter feeds of the recent player that were posted, by the way.

BTW, get out from behind the keyboard. Meet some people in the real world. Perhaps a tailgate and maybe even a game once in a while. You'd be amazed.

Still no info of course, but dang, I definitely hit a nerve. All this, just for asking for a source - talk about thin skin. If using one of your 24,400+ posts to tell someone else to get away from the keyboard is the best you can do, then I understand why you are so terrified of being challenged to elaborate, even in an innocuous fashion. I didn't ask for names, just some details about how you know the personal thoughts of "many families of players". Don't hide behind some fake notion of confidentiality that nobody is asking about.

You were already bludgeoned with logic pre-teens could follow by others in this thread with how insanely stupid it is to demand names.

This UC board is likely just one of several you frequent of various subjects to stop by to argue with people to show them how smart you are, anyways.

What's your handle on redszone and bengals boards and any number of other fan sites so we can see how you pull the same stunts there?

Quit looking for swordplay, Comic Book Guy.
