They very rarely pass the ball.

Temple is top passing defense in AAC. Top 15 nationally.
Look at their schedule and you understand why they are top in AAC. Army, Stony Brook, Charlotte, Penn State, and SMU. None of these are that good offensively and yes including SMU. I thought SMU would be better but they don't have a reliable QB.
You do realize that before the OM game we were DEAD LAST in SOS among FBS schools. So you can make the same argument about our passing stats.
Can't have your cake and eat it too. Cannot ignore SOS for one team and then use it for an excuse with the other team.

Except for the fact that our passing stats vs OM were actually the 2nd best stats we've put up all year outside of BGSU.
SEMO: 26-40 (65%), 295 yds
KU: 15-25 (60%), 189 yds
BGSU: 23-32 (71.9%), 395 yds
OM: 31-47 (66%), 355 yds
Offensively, we put up 474 total yds, which again, was only 2nd to BGSU. The problem was that we could not stop OM defensively and we turned the ball over.

SEC teams which throw the ball are going to score at will on OM this year. Their DB are very questionable.
The BGU game inflated our stats a lot. But 600+ yard of total offense does that.

Their DB's are light years better than SEMO, KU and BGSU and we still put up good passing numbers against them. I don't think you can attribute our passing stats to date to just poor SOS.

We're not as good as it showed, but we're not as bad as we were down the stretch. It probably doesn't help that our best defensive player is likely out for the season.
