If you don't see the value of your team being #4 in the country in a respected poll, then idk what to tell you.
If Houston is unbeaten, you won't be ranked behind two B1G teams anyway, so that game doesn't matter at all. What does matter is being ranked behind one B1G team, and the AP and Coaches polls can't help you there.
And neither will the CFP.
What about when the winner loses to Wisconsin in the B1G Championship?
Your attempts to wrap up these scenarios in week 5 with a cute little bow are in vain.
If Wisconsin runs the table and wins the B1G title, Houston isn't getting in ahead of them. Houston will not get in ahead of any ACC, SEC, or B1G champ unless that champ has two losses.
You keep saying things can't or won't happen, and it literally takes no more than 1 example to show how it could happen. Just please stop speaking in absolutes, you're embarrassing yourself.
Well, it's true whether you want to believe it or not. Just try being objective and not biased. You won't pass any 1 loss champ.

I love UH acting like they don't still have half a season to play. Games against Tulsa, UCF, Memphis, and UL aren't just "gimme's".

His assumptions are that only one side of the equation is possible. He says that there's no way we can beat out the ACC or B1G Champions, essentially meaning UNC or Miami and Wisconsin show up to their respective Championships with a 0% chance to win. Remember, he says it CAN'T happen.
When he addresses those possibilities, he then assumes that UNC or Miami and Wisconsin are going to run the table. Miami is no better than 55% to win any of their games over the next MONTH and Wisconsin is 19% to beat tOSU next week.

No one's "acting" anything. It goes without saying that if UH loses, these discussions are done. The fact that we're having them isn't meant as disrespect to our opponents.

You know, if Houston loses, all the haters will be running victory laps through next season.

Everyone wants to beat Houston and I'm cool with it but do our opponents have what it takes to defeat a great Houston football team?!? Nah, I doubt it.

Louisville has to keep winning despite therie loss to Clemson yesterday, and several AAC teams, especially the EAST champ needs to be ranked for Houston to get in even if they stay undefeated. It's not just a "win and move up thing".
The strength of Schedule will be Houston's biggest opponent at the end of the year. For example a 6th ranked Michigan team would jump over a 5th ranked Houston team if Michigan beats Ohio State.

Two games is not half a season, unless you're in Houston

What part of "unless they have 2 or more losses" hasn't sunk through? Heck, I said that in the second post of this thread! Sheesh.

Miami or UNC wins the ACC, and a 13-0 Houston gets in over the ACC Champ. Door, not closed. Quit trying to wrap up playoff scenarios with pretty little bows in week 5.

UH beat Washington for 5th place by 6 points. Then a significant drop from 6th to 7th.
Now UH just waits on the OSUvsUM game, and for someone to knock off UW.
