I haven't seen so many great, improbable escapes by the Vols since that year. I know he's a WV fan but I wonder how Bitcruncher is dealing with all this. I bet all the Vols fans are Coocoo for CoCo Puffs over them right now.

I am sorry ,but the east is so weak it's pitiful . Every team in the west except MSU would win it. That Georgia game was a pillow fight.

I was in school @ UT in '98. This season's inexplicable wins do remind me of the close shave @ Syracuse (Vols should have lost that game, got bailed out by refs on a 4th down), and the absolutely crazy game against Arkansas when Clint Stoerner put the ball on the ground (the damndest thing I had ever seen in a game before. He laid the ball down on the turf. Watch the highlights!).

I was there. I lost my voice screaming.

Also, how I miss John Ward. "Give. Him. Six."

That said, this team isn't as good as that Vol team. Dobbs is not a reliable passer and the UT defense is not as fearsome. But it has been a fun ride.

I said after the first game that it could be a good thing for this team to get practice winning ugly. I'm just hoping the wins continue.

Man, what a fun season that was. I grew up in a family full of UT people, so I've got a soft spot for the Vols. I still can't believe that game went.

I miss John Ward too. I remember as a kid my dad would turn down the volume on the tv so we could listen to the radio broadcast while we watched. Good memories.
