Run the table?
WMU even money to run the table. IMO , a realistic shot at a New Years day game. What a shocking demonstration on a very good CMU team.

Possible, but highly unlikely.

Nobody will win the MAC without a loss.

The only team that I could see giving us a serious game at this point is UT. In my 30 years of watching WMU football, I have NEVER seen a better-coached, more physically imposing team. We are exerting our will on our opponents...and the players KNOW they are good, and they 100% believe in their leaders (Fleck/Terrell).

Best WMU team I've personally followed, football OR basketball.

That basketball team that beat Clemson in the first round of the tournament, then had Stanford even until the refs inserted themselves into the game was probably the best team I've seen at WMU. This team has a chance, but has to finish. It's tough making it through the MAC football season unscathed. Impressive start to say the least though.

I didn't think it was a possibility, but I think 12 and 0 is 50% chance now

RE: Run the table?
WMU should be able to wear down Toledo's defense the way BYU did last night. I expect it to be close with a pull away in the 4th quarter: WMU by 10.

All the apologists who were saying a good season would be 8-4, maybe 9-3.

No on the being able to wear down the Rockets like BYU, the difference being:

Kalamazoo elevation 784'
Provo elevation 4,551'

It's OUR (Western's) success, so, no, it isn't.

Sorry to disappoint you.

1 loss this year max. Not sure how Toledo will turn out.

Either way, we are MILES ahead of where we have been since 1988.

RE: Run the table?
I don't think there's any question Toledo will be our toughest remaining opponent. The question at this point is, just how good is Toledo? We don't really know. Their wins so far: at what appears to be a very down Arkansas State team, against a Fresno State team that just got thumped by UNLV (who got thumped by CMU), and Maine. Their loss: to a now 2-3 BYU team (in fairness to BYU, they've played a tough schedule, but they appear to be mediocre at best).

I would say "Cue BocaRocket with a response," but it appears he's already beaten me to it...
