The "move the game" to the other team's site option is fraught with logistical issues and a LOT of money would be lost by the original home team. It's really a last, last, last resort option.

The only time I can think of it happening is when LSU @ SCar was switched to Baton Rouge due to the flooding a few years ago. LSU ended up giving SCar all the money generated from the game, but no, it wasn't as much as a true home game would have been.

Orlando newspaper says Tulane and Central Florida AD's will decide this Wednesday if game will be canceled Friday or not.

Huh?

Tulane already has a short week (game next Friday) and since both teams have the exact same bye week (Fri Nov 4/Sat Nov 5), look for the game to be officially moved to that weekend.

While the weather in Orlando will be pretty nice come this Sat or Sun...way too many unknowns to plan a major event (i.e. UCF uses Orange County Sheriffs, Oviedo Police, UCF Police and others on game day), as you don't know if those officers will be deployed elsewhere in case of major damage in the area or if they have to help out on the coast (i.e. those police HQ's get damaged in the storm).

Its a miracle that both UCF and Tulane have the same bye week...so at least this game will actually get played.

PS. Now there are some Hurricane models that show this storm will end up in the Atlantic then LOOP back around toward Southeast FL days later...so who knows if UCF's home game vs Temple (Oct 15) could be impacted by this same storm once again.

The problem with Sunday is that we have a game next Friday.

Now, instead of the first half of the Tulane game, UCF now loses one of their best LB, Rucker, for the first half of the Temple game.

I hope we're appealing that decision. Rucker was actively avoiding Nelson and wouldn't even have made contact if Griffin hadn't pushed the ECU QB from the other side.

What's the point in penalizing someone for a situation that was beyond their control? Does he need to work on his clairvoyance?

Maybe if he wasn't leading with his helmet he might've gotten some leniency.

He was protecting his own head. He came in head up, saw the QB upright, planted his foot to try and change direction and then ducked his head to try and avoid contact H2H.

Tulane needs its starting center and top running back Sherman Badie back for the Memphis game next week.

This was BS targeting call #2 on UCF already this season. Here was the first against Michigan.

I really think they're just telling the officials, just call everything that looks like a hard hit. That way when the concussion lawsuits hit the NCAA in a few years they can say "we tried".

No it was a legit call. ECU had a BS call when our player was ejected WHEN HE TACKLED WITH HIS SHOULDER.

Complete Horseshit! That was a shoulder to chest take down. This whole targeting ruling actually is 90% window dressing to make it look like something is being done to decrease head injuries. This is laughable, as the d-lineman & o-lineman are still turning their heads into swiss cheese on every play, it's happening right before everyone's eyes but nothing is being done because nothing can be done.
