Ha I was at the game in 1970 it was the inaugural season for Smelly Shorts if I remember correctly , the fall semester of my freshman year.I remember sitting in the chimp section with my cmu friends and enjoying every minute of the beat down a lot like last nights game.

Perry Shorts (was renamed Kelly-Shorts later) opened in 1972.

First time we played there was 1973 season opener.

1970 game was at old Alumni Field.

Thanks for the correction my memory about the stadium is fuzzy but the game memory is still there
