Keep in mind Ole Miss has kinda moved the ball on everyone this year. Like Alabama for instance (550 total yards I think). They aren't exactly easy to stop. Despite the score, I actually saw some encouraging stuff tonight, this being our first legitimate team we've played ... and on the road even. Too many mistakes to have a shot tonight.

I saw the difference being mistakes (TO's) and unusual play calling. On to next week.

Offense right at our average of 478 ypg. Just too many turnovers.

Serious question though - how do you improve your O-Line?

Good showing though

Well, we shot ourselves in the foot just too many times. But I am encouraged. We didn't give up. I think we will do ok in conference play.

Playing good competition, gaining experience , and getting stronger.

Of those, only getting stronger is controllable, and that doesn't seem to be something that happens overnight.

RE: Official Memphis Vs. Ole Miss Game thread
Have to say I was impressed for the most part. Ferguson really played good. He missed a few throws, but he had to dodge defenders the whole game. He could have been sacked a dozen times...

Ole Miss has put tons of yards up on everyone this year and they've played some really good teams.

I don't think we embarrassed ourselves by any means. As much as I hate to say it, Ole Miss is a very good team. We just had too many mistakes (10 yard punt, dropped passes, ints, dropped ints, etc).

Encouraged!

Scoring defense could still remain in top 25 with a 18.7 ppg average.
Scoring offense could still remain in top 10 with a 45.75 ppg average.

Our stats will take a hit but most will not be hit that badly.
