The penalty calling was strange the whole game.

Watching the replay of that targeting it was the right call because tripped at full speed and stumbled into the QB.

Regardless if targeting was called I agree it would be a totally different game with Miami only needing 1 first down for a FG. Then the games tied and Ohio with its offense not doing great may not have been able to win.

The Miami D definitely looks pretty good for MAC play at least.

NIU doesn't want to win this game, two missed FGs and three turnovers.

It was my understanding that you couldn't overturn a targeting penalty on a review, but that the replay was there to see if the player would be ejected or not. Leave it to Miami to be in a position where something I've never seen before that I thought couldn't happen actually happen against us.

Miami had 10 penalties for 99 yards in that game. Definitely was grounds to question the refs on a couple of calls.

Ohio only had 197 total yards in the game but only 3 penalties and 29. Says Ohio played decently but Miami had an aggressive D.

The coaching seems good Miami. They'll need to get more speed if they want to win games, IMO.

NIU up 31-24 and just forced Ball State to punt. NIU needs to finally put the dagger in them.

NIU offense looks much better with Maddie at QB. Looks like the NIU of old. Still committing too many penalties and turnovers kept us from really blowing this game wide open.

31-24 NIU

31-24 NIU

NIU could use a couple easy games to get its season back on track.

WMU and CMU the next two weeks is not going to be easy.
