Their Super Bowls were against middling PAC 12 teams and they won by 3-5 points.

Maybe you should say 3 decent teams instead of "two decent teams" since Navy is getting crushed right now by Air Force 28-7. Or maybe you consider AF garbage too? Coogs get Navy next...
Cheers!

I'm not sure how Navy playing Houston next says anything about Air Force, but whatever, 3 decent teams. I just don't have any patience for the "Marshall" model of attempting to backdoor your way into the NY6 bowl by playing no one, and then rooting for everyone else to lose.

HAHAHAHAHAH! Maybe you guys are a "Power" conference. You make the same sorry excuses that say...Ole Miss made when they lost to Memphis last year.

Accept it, there is not much difference between the MW and the AAC, especially at the top.

Once Memphis gets blitzed, and Navy beats Houston next week, you guys will be singing the blues and will be out of the NYD conversation. Enjoy!

There you go, rooting for others to lose enough so that you can backdoor your way in, because you certainly can't earn it on your own. Thanks for proving me right. There's no situation where both the MWC and AAC Champs take care of business (win out), and the MWC Champ earns the bid over the AAC. That sums up the argument between the 2 conferences real quick.

The average Massey rating of SDSU's remaining opponents is 129. Borderline unbelievable. You guys seriously need to go ask Marshall fans about how the CFP works, and how you can be 11-0 and barely even crack the top 25. Creeping up the AP poll because the teams in front of you are beating up on each other means nothing.

Kronke: the SDSU fan "rooting for others to lose" is bad. Most of us fans of a non-cartel school will root for the G5 school to beat the so called "power school"....Maybe the AAC fans on here are the exception....maybe.
Did you root for Boise to win or lose when they played those two PAC schools this year?
Cheers!

Everyone does this man. Unfortunately, the system is set up against us. Only one of five champions gets to play in a Big Boy Bowl, so it takes a little bit of luck, and others losing in some cases. I seem to remember people here wanting Boise to lose in their Championship game a few years ago. It is what it is. I would like to see a 16 team playoff where every champion gets in.

I rooted for Boise. You remembered correctly about people on here openly rooting against Boise. A lot of it had to with the way Boise bailed on joining the AAC before playing a game. A lot of hard feelings because of that. Some are simply haters or AAC conference rah rah posters who openly root against the SB, MAC, CUSA and MWC.
Cheers!

Fair enough.

I supported Boise and subsequently SDSU heading back to the MW. With the further loss of Louisville, and Rutgers as well as placing out men's basketball program in the Big West, it just wasn't worth it.

Imagine if you had to put your basketball program in the Horizon League, just to play football in the American. Wouldn't be worth it would it? At the time the MW was a three bid league.
