Are they even going to play each other? Could do A&M vs some one else.

pass
have it in a real stajium or not at all
and really right now with both programs having a major rivalry game regularly scheduled away from campus I can't see them doing this especially when both have stajiums that seat 100,000+
plus TMS is even worse than Bristol because of the shape of the facility and the distance from the back grandstands

An event like that could be gets the rivalry going again. I'd love if it could be scheduled for mid September in day 2019 or 2020. 3-4 years away gives plenty of time to make the schedule work. I wouldn't want to play it opening week, give both teams a week or two so the level of play is better. I'd also stay away from Thanksgiving weekend, unless they start playing yearly again.
A venue that large would allow both schools to make as much money as they would from a home game, and you don't have to argue over which schools gets the home game first.
The main drawback I see is that both schools already play yearly neutral site games (UT-OU in the Cotton Bowl and A&M-Arkansas in Jerry World) in the DFW area. I'm not sure the schools would be willing to schedule 2 of them in the same year. I could see A&M ending its series as I believe it's been several years since that game sold out, but I don't see the OU-UT game being moved any time soon.

Another sign that society has become nothing more than a giant wang measuring contest where everyone is trying to outdo each other for bragging rights.
In 20 years, Auburn and Alabama are gonna play on the moon.

Is that a "No" just because you don't want to see the rivalry renewed, you don't think the teams would agree to a neutral site game, you don't think TMS could be configured to have a football field with fans close enough to be able to see it, or perhaps some other reason?
I understand some people don't want the rivalry renewed, but it will be at some point - they're almost certainly not going to wait 100 years before playing again, is an 8-10 year waiting period enough? Perhaps 15-20 years? Trying to set up the game now would put it somewhere around the 10 year range, and there's of course there's a good possibility this gets tabled for several more years.
I'm not sure the schools would agree to a second neutral site game, but perhaps being just one game it wouldn't matter. I certainly don't see them renewing the rivalry and making it a yearly neutral site game. A&M did have two "neutral" games last year, hosting Arizona State in Houston, so they may be up for a second neutral game.
I watched some of the Bristol game on TV, and it seemed like the fans were pretty far away from the action. This would be my main concern if TMS ever hosts a football game, no matter which teams would be playing. I'm just not sure that it would be feasible while having any hope of being profitable.

Just wait until Central Texas falls into a sink hole, then plant grass in the bottom and install lawn chairs all around the edge and the bowl. Boom! The first game to crack one million fans...

The speedway here in Fort Worth is not set up like Bristol. The seating is too far away from a potential football field to work. I don't know what they are thinking.

No, Auburn won't play Alabama anywhere but Auburn when its their turn to host. Alabama isn't going to give up home field if Auburn won't give up their turn.
Auburn spent 40+ years trying to get the Iron Bowl moved out of Birmingham (where it was 'neutral' but really was 70 percent Bama)
---
Other teams could play at a neutral site. Auburn won't ever agree to that.

Intriguing idea, but no to another neutral site game.
And no to A&M. Need another 15-20 years, until a whole generation has gone through A&M without playing UT. Its not a healthy rivalry.

I have heard many say they would not go back to Bristol to see a FB game ever again. Traffic terrible, sight lines during the game terrible; only good part was the pre-game show, etc. This coming from TN and VT fans alike.
Not sure why any college FB fan would not like to see A&M and Texas play again other than closely interested A&M fans. I used to love watching that game - great TV, great drama.

No to all of it.
No to TMS as its a terrible idea for any game. You could fit Michigan;s Big House inside of Bristol motor speedway inside of TMS. You couldnt see anything from even the best seats.
And no to renewing the series ever. It's dead and gone and needs to stay that way forever.

Everything is bigger in Texas, right?
Just the very mention of the possibility is like throwing down a gauntliet in front of a Knight or waving a red cape in front of a bull......if it's bigger than anyone else....it's a sure thing.
