My QB list isn't what I thought it would be.

1. Jackson (LOU)...10.6 yds/att, 13TDs / 3 Int

2. Trubisky (UNC)...75% completions, 9.5 yds / att, 10 TD, O Int

3. Watson (CLEM)....passing stats are pedestrian - this is for run threat

4. Kaaya (MIA).....not hurting his team

5. Evans (VT)....13TDs, 1 Int, 9.4 yds/att didn't see this one coming

6. Francois (FSU)...has taken 13 sacks. Other stats don't compensate to rate higher

I think ranking QBs is a fool's errand. It is position utterly dependent upon everybody else on the field. Of Mel Kiper's Top 5 QBs for this year, only ONE is a household name. #4 is Beathard out at Iowa, who has spent a large deal of his time running for dear life in the backfield. Even when the opponent was North Dakota State.

Most people here wouldn't put Justin Thomas in their Top 6 because his offensive line has been a pile of ****. But I bet none of you would turn him down on your roster either.

I think this is justifiable, although you could theoretically put Evans as high as three.

I think this will sort out differently as the season progresses. I expect Watson to start asserting himself, and this week's game will be key. Hard to see how anybody can sustain the performance Jackson has had in the early going. That's rarefied air.

I think Francois will have a big day against UNC. He seems bothered by pressure (he is a freshman, after all), and UNC doesn't bring any to speak of.

I'm a huge Dungey fan. I loved him last year, too.

Conner is ranked too high. He's not actually having that great of a year. He looks rusty – understandably so. However, he's not playing like one of the top five or six running backs in the ACC.

I'm just being honest.

He will get better as the season where is along but he's not there yet. Also, I fully expect Chawntez Moss's workload to increase as the season goes along. He is a good-looking true freshman running back and they are going to need to put the ball in his hands.

Quadree Henderson is another guy who has to be somewhere on this list but whom I consider a running back. Technically, he plays the slot receiver position. However, Pitt mostly uses him as a ball carrier and he has probably been our very best player so far this season.

Having gotten a good look at North Carolina last week, they are absolutely loaded the skill positions. One of the reasons they kept converting on fourth-and-long was because their athletes are significantly better than our athletes right now. I think we can fix that with recruiting but that's going to take a few years. As of right now it is absolutely no contest.

Their running back is excellent and they have three or four very good receivers and a good quarterback. That is a heck of a place to start.
