Ole Miss Game Notes

Memphis Game Notes

Interesting OM notes regarding last year's game:

October 17, 2015 • Memphis, Tenn. • #22 Memphis 37, #12 Ole Miss 24:
Junior wide receiver Laquon Treadwell had a school record 14 catches for a career-high 144 yards, but No. 12 Ole Miss fell to No. 22 Memphis 37-24 at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium. After the Rebels (5-2) scored the game’s first 14 points, the Tigers (6-0) recorded 31 unanswered points en route to the game’s final tally.

They used the Coaches Poll rankings instead of the AP. At game time Memphis was unranked and Ole Miss was #13.

I guess years down the road looking back it will feel better losing to a ranked rather than an unranked Memphis team.
