Norvell to LSU
It could happen. They need some offense energy.

I think Fuente would have been a perfect fit for LSU. I wonder if he is having any second thoughts about not waiting one more year.

RE: Norvell to LSU
He goes undefeated, he'd be a dark horse.

SEC schools for the most part like to hire a guy with a few years of experience.

Though if UGA can hire Kirby Smart and Vandy can hire Derek Mason and Missouri can hire Barry Odom then anything is possible.

Still, I think a guy like Herman would kill it there - Urban Meyer protege with ties to Texas and then give him access to Louisiana as well. Guy would've recruited nationally for OHST, recruited TX while at Houston and then be hired in talent-rich Louisiana...and dude can actually coach too.

No brainer really.

It's going to take him a couple years of proving himself before he can get a job like that

Maybe, but he's looking pretty good at VT right now - just torched Boston College and East Carolina.

That UT loss isn't looking as bad either given what happened Saturday.

You never know.

All SEC schools are a downswing away from hiring Derek Dooley or Mike Shula or Gerry DiNardo, etc.

Today, he's prob a no go for LSU though.

But "job like that"...you never know.

I think Fuente found the perfect fit for him...big job, less pressure, and much less required of him outside of football than a place like LSU.

I think he'd be a good fit as well but a SEC TA&M isn't a bad gig.

Surely he is their top choice.

I don't disagree. Plus the ACC Coastal is a lot easier to win than the SEC West.

Agree. Fuente found his perfect match.

Yep, I agree. If he was looking for a smaller college town experience for his family, Baton Rouge would not be the place for him. Somewhat like he never seemed fully at ease in Memphis. Different strokes for different folks...

Don't forget that Jennifer Rodriquez works at LSU now. Somebody call her and ask. I would but I think she is mad and me and TG4.

Norvell isn't going anywhere.

LSU is going to hire Herman if it can...and I suspect that to be the case.

Hugh Freeze said No SEC team would hire a coach with only one year HC experience

If we went undefeated and slipped into the playoff but the sacrifice is Novell leaving for a big name program, i'd be willing to make that trade.
