There is a home and home series with Hampton that is out there lurking (which was part of the agreement that went with this weekend's football game with Hampton).

I didn't receive one either. Luckily I went and checked out ynottix last week and noticed it on there. Renewed immediately.

I got the package in the mail and promptly put in the pile to look at later. I too would have missed the deadline if not for Jeff's call!

NCAA bid will be determined early in the Bahamas. We need a fast start to get attention early.Could be a great season....we will know by the end of NOV.

Until CUSA as a whole gets better (including ODU), any NCAA bid hopes will be determined pretty early in the season. Three OOC losses, unless they're to top 25 teams, is probably going to be a dealbreaker almost every time.

Well, MTSU was 8-5 after 13 games last year, and I think you'd say they had a good season.

I think he's talking at-large, and I would agree.

But we have as good a chance as anyone to cut down the nets in Birmingham, especially if Caver has a solid season.

Because they won the automatic bid. But they were never a serious consideration for an at-large, which is what I thought were we talking about. Basically, if you lose three OOC games and they're not all Top 25 opponents, or you don't have at least one blockbuster win to counterbalance it, you're consigned to hitching your wagon to winning CUSA.

For ODU to be a legitimate at-large contender after the OOC schedule this season, they'll have to win at least one and maybe two Atlantis games, and only lose one other OOC game (unless it's VCU and Rhode Island, and both are top 25 contenders).

Barring that, the OOC is likely a warm-up phase for the CUSA schedule, and that's a warm-up phase for the CUSA tournament.

VCU game is an 8 pm start that will be televised by ASN, per ASN's website.

They also have us playing St. Bonaventure at 6PM the same day......

Pretty well sums it up. It's not a knock on ODU, just an accurate summary of reality inside CUSA. There is ZERO wiggle room.

As a drama queen, I was offended by your post. But, I was not ready to give up on Dec 10.

Im confused. I think some of our fans have given up on the season on September 26th.
