So far I don't see anyone else picking that up (google news search). Granted, after SI and Carlton (DMN) got burned by Boren's quick flip-flop, I kinda wonder now if reporters are like "I ain't touchin' the Big 12 with a 10-foot pole, until the official announcement is made".

"Sources" just don't seem to cut it, these days.

Nobody in the media has gotten anything right about the Big 12, from beginning to end, so far. That is what has caused most of the circus. The Big 12 presidents aren't talking, and the other "sources" have been completely unreliable.

Only way TT gets in PAC-12 is by being UT's tag-along little brother. By themselves they have no chance whatsoever.

Funny thing about Texas Tech:

it's really the only P5 school that lives in that huge band of nether region down the center of the country that defacto divides east and west.

350mi to Dallas (with a good portion on 2-lane highway)
380mi to OKC (via that little I-27 spur)
400mi to Albuquerque (again via I-27)

Also a school nobody would miss if it dropped off the face of the earth

If you divided the country into rough quarters, Colorado and Texas Tech would be the only 2 P5 schools of the 65 in the quarter between I-35/135 heading north (Laredo-San Antonio-Austin-DFW-OKC-Wichita) and the I-19/I-17/I-15 corridor (Tuscon-Phoenix-SLC).

It has been pretty much covered up by dust storms more than once, Some day, maybe they will decide to leave it buried.

I think if OU/OSU go to the SEC and UT goes to B1G w/ Kansas the Pac 12 will take at least 2 left overs, KSU & TT? TT & TCU? WVU will probably land in the ACC.
