Bulls win the first two games, in Boston.
If you're wondering how many times a 1-seed has lost to an 8-seed in the NBA playoffs, it's happened five times. The list is in this article.

Yup. I can still picture Deke lying on the court shaking his fists in the air.

Jazz Clippers, if it goes the Jazz way, could make some serious waves with the Clippers on the coaching and players front.

Yeah, IMO Doc Rivers is gone if the Clips don't make the second round.
And I'd be very surprised if Chris Paul is there next season. He can opt out of his contract and go chase a ring with a contender. Spurs are a likely option for that move.
Griffin might stay with the Clippers because other teams might not be willing to pay him as much as the Clippers, given his injury history.

Is there a mercy rule in the NBA? If so, they need one for the Warriors and Blazers. It was 28-5 to start out.

At this rate, you'll just be watching garbage time. It was 35-9 a second ago.

Warriors are about to finish a sweep, and the Cavs already finished theirs.
But ESPN and TNT will be happy that there will be at least a sixth game in at least five of the first-round series.

Definitely the consensus on sports talk radio in LA

I dunno - he'd be leaving a lot of money on the table. $50MM? It may not mean much but it was reported in February that he's agreed to stay with the Clippers.

After Durant and Curry, who I can't imagine would leave the Warriors, who is the most attractive UFA? Good argument it's Griffin.

This just in: The NBA doesn't want its owners going all Crazy Sports Dad on NBA officials.
http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/19250...onting-ref
Quote:The NBA has fined Rockets owner Leslie Alexander $100,000, one day after he left his courtside seat during live game action to yell at referee Bill Kennedy in the final seconds of the first quarter of Houston's 105-99 series-clinching Game 5 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night.

He should be done but I think all Ballmer will do is pull Doc's GM hat. But they have got to move Blake. I don't know what the contracts are like but maybe the Clips could a trade for Paul George straight up.

To be traded this summer, Griffin would have to opt-in to the last year on his contract, and he won't do that if he can make more money by opting out. So he either leaves as a free agent or he's playing for the Clippers next season.
The salary cap rules always seem to be a mess to me, but apparently the Clippers can pay CP3 more if he stays than other teams can if he leaves - but that depends on the Clippers wanting to give 5 max years to a player who will be 36 or 37 in the last year of the contract, and it depends on CP3 deciding that the extra money is worth playing his entire career without ever having a legitimate shot at a title. He's never even played in a conference final.
