It's all arbitrary once you get past Texas and OU.
UConn/KU bring pretty much the same package.
Texas has their LHN and that's why they'll never kowtow to OU.

Not saying its true... but all of these guys have the same credibility.

In other words, the Dude of BYU is saying that Texas loves BYU so much that the Horns will leave the Big 12 and join the AAC with BYU so they can be together.

I imagine Texas would go independent in that scenario and park their Olympics in the LHN conference. They would continue to play annual games against the Texas schools and probably revive the TAMU series while operating some scheduling agreement with the other schools in the LHN conference.

What a pile, Doesn't matter if B12 expands or not, No one is leaving for another 6 or 7 years.

Didn't one of the BYU posters already post this, and whoever is tweeting just copied that theory from here. Meanwhile we all pointed out how stupid it would be to leave all the money behind to join Houston and BYU. Also the TV eyes are in the east, so....you wanna head west?

Hopefully they remain a muddled mess and do nothing.

Maybe it's how much Texas likes the LHN... A conference composed of 8 teams, 5 in Texas, would be a pure puppet league for the Longhorns. Similar to the defunct SWC, but with BYU instead of Arkansas (plus one more to replace TAMU).

Sources have told me for weeks that #OU was the biggest road block to expansion. I tweeted last week #Boren had broken off talks with Texas

#OU & #Texas were working together on a surface level but Texas broke any trust by creating a group to leave the #BIGXII if expansion failed

Anyone reporting invites were close was never in the loop because there is no agreement among membership on who to invite #BIGXII
