I still remeber ole skippy tweeting purple before leaving for usf. Reality can be a tough thing for some folks. Money talks

BK told the UC players he wasn't going anywhere...he told the media he loved Cincy and so did his wife and family. He left within three days.

And that UC team at the time was 12-0 in a BCS conference with a date in the Sugar bowl vs Florida

Unless you are Ohio State, Michigan, LSU, Bama, USC, and maybe one or two others, you can lose your coach at any time....it's just the way it is....some things will never change

Herman's reaction when asked by the UH President if he was staying.....

South Carolina, Mizzou, Baylor, etc, have all tried/trying for Tom Herman... he obviously has plans of his own..

This is the furthest thing from my mind until the end of the season.

But amazes me why every up and coming coach is so willing to move up so fast.

Just recently all former coaching rising stars are now on the hot-seat.

Just to name a few:
Gus Malzahn
Charlie Strong
Kevin Sumlin
Brian Kelly
Just recently Butch Jones

Really hard to last a long time as a coach these days in the SEC or other elite teams. Lose 4 games a few years in a row and you're canned.

I don't think Herman leaves for LSU. He waits for a program "down"to fix. Something like Texas or ND.

No matter what school. It's not just the AAC. There is always a bigger dog willing to pay a lot more.

Either in college or the NFL. No one is immuned to this.

Frank Beamer and Bobby Bowden were loyal and forced out at the end. All coaches know they are 1 or 2 losing seasons away from getting canned. They are loyal to the dollars.
