RE: Week 4 Power Ranking
I'll go with :

1) USM (Troy loss was painful but it was close, and bounced back vs. UTEP)
2) Marshall (again, I think most anyone would have gotten shellacked by Louisville this year)
3) WKU (They get the slight edge over MTSU right now, because they only lost by 1 to Vandy)
4) Middle Tenn (Loss to Vandy by a bigger differential than WKU puts them in 4th instead of 3rd.)
5) La Tech.. are they as competitive as they should vs. south Carolina, or puppies like they showed against TTech?
6) North Texas - SMU loss looking a little bit worse with SMU's ugly loss this week. Rice win gives you top 6, but it's precarious slot.
7) ODU - Might be better than their record indicates.. still not sure
8) UTSA - I gave you reasons for some losses.. the loss to ODU? No reasons.. you just didn't show up
9) UTEP - This team is literally one player.. you stop him, you stop the RB, you stop the team.
10 - FAU . It really was tough, saying FIU or FAU here... FIU is 0-4 on a tougher schedule.. FAU 1-3 with a not as tough schedule.
11 - Charlotte - still down here.. because.. well you've got the loss to Eastern Michigan on your record. Won't likely break into top 9 without a serious run.
12 - FiU... didn't do themselves any scheduling favors after losing to UMass.. 2 wins on the season? Maybe?
13 - Rice - Just bad.. really bad still

I agree with this. I also think none of the top 4 have truly shown their potential.

I absolutely agree with that. It's been a weird year thus far. Our games with WKU and Marshall will be wars. It's a toss up at this point. Anybody can take it.

RE: Week 4 Power Ranking
1. Southern Miss... this team still has not hit its stride
2. Middle TN... big comeback win over La Tech
3. Western KY... very disappointing loss at home to Vandy
4. La Tech... blew the big lead at MTSU
5. Marshall... we will get a good picture of the true Herd team over the next few weeks

6. ODU... good win over UTSA; putting themselves in position for bowl eligibility
7. UTEP... schedule should get much easier after this week
8. North TX... good win at Rice in OT. Could get better as the season goes as team continues to adjust to and learn from new staff
9. FAU... could not hold the lead at home vs Ball St.
10. UTSA... disappointing loss at ODU. Could get better as the season goes as team continues to adjust to and learn from new staff
11. Rice... the OT loss at home to North TX was a game the Owls really needed. Will Bailiff last till season's end?
12. Charlotte... still adjusting to FBS football
13. FIU... Fired Ron Turner. Made Ron Cooper interim. I remember Cooper eating Skittles on the sidelines when he was coach at Lousville.

RE: Week 4 Power Ranking
1. WKU (Vandy must be for real, or CUSA is just that bad?)
2. USM
3. MT
4. La Tech (I had us at first place until the second half happened)
5. Marshall

6-13: Tougher to rank

I highlighted the appropriate one for you.

We all suck. It's universal.

Yes, until proven otherwise every team in this conference is "not good."

RE: Week 4 Power Ranking
It's clear there is not a team in the conference that is hitting on all cylinders at 1/3 the way through the season. We do have 3 to 4 that has shown they have the pieces to put it together to be very good teams...

but at this point there's still a lot of work to be done before naming a team to beat. On both sides of the conference

RE: Week 4 Power Ranking
WKU - Two losses to SEC not enough to move out of first
USM - On track after unanticipated loss to Troy
MTSU - Big Conference win
La Tech - Disappointing record, but will be big challenge to any CUSA team
Marshall - Louisville loss should not even count this year
ODU - Solid victory over UTSA
NT - Improved team, but how much?
Rice - Dominated NT early, not as bad as record
UTSA - Uneven play, disappointing thus far
FAU - Have not fired their coach
FIU - Fired their coach, no wins but tough schedule
UTEP - Lop-sided loss to Army looks worse now
Charlotte - Getting better, but long way to go

Thanks, changed; just hope CUSA doesn't add anymore UT somethings.

You'll get no disagreement from me about the Louisville loss, Akron on the other hand...

RE: Week 4 Power Ranking
1. Southern Miss (3-1) Sad they've lost to a Belt team
2. MTSU (3-1) Shocked by the win over LA Tech
3. WKU (2-2) Should have beaten Vandy
4. Marshall (1-2) Played Louisville better then FSU did
5. LA Tech (1-3) Shocked by the loss to MT
6. North Texas (2-2) Improving by the week
7. ODU (2-2) Should get 2 more easy wins before playing WKU
8. UTSA (1-3) Doesn't look like the team that battled Arizona State
9. UTEP (1-3) Tough early schedule, except for NMSU
10. Rice (0-4) A better team then their record indicates. Tough early schedule
11. Charlotte (1-3) Lone win was against an FCS team
12. FAU (1-3) Lone win was against an FCS team
13. FIU (0-4) I don't think they will win a game this season

Akron isn't as bad of a loss as most would believe... They went what...8-5 last year I think, won a bowl, and are picked to win the MAC east... They're gonna win some games this year...
