USM comes in at 3-1 (1-0) while Rice is 0-4 (0-2). USM embarrassed Rice last year 65-10 at Rice and I feel this year won't be much different but not quite as bad.

The USM D has only allowed 3 points in the 4th quarter all season and has shut out 3 of the 4 opponents in the 2nd half. On the flip side Rice has given up 30+ points in all 4 games while allowing 40+ in 2 of those.

Rice should save it's gas money and just forfeit........

With USM's next opponent UTSA having a bye week this week hopefully USM can play like it did vs UTEP to where we had a big enough lead that the backups played a good bit of the 4th quarter.

Rice goes into its bye week without a win as USM will win this one big-time. The Owls will have to do some soul searching before taking on the Runners.

I remember an 0-4 Rice coming into The Rock and beating one of Bower's last teams in a midweek game.

Also remember beating UAB 70-7 (or something like that), and then losing to them the next season.

Ito isn't injured....and Payne is doing just fine....mullens coming off a zero TO game is important too....we're now in a smooth flow pattern
