2016 ACCbbs Football Pick'em -- Week 5 is OPEN
Welcome to Week 5 of the College Football Season and Week 5 of the Critically Acclaimed 2016 ACCbbs Football Pick'em.

http://sportsfan.decro.net

Congratulations to Indytarheel who finished 13-2 for Week 4 and found his/her way out of last place.

There was alot of upheaval in the standings from Week 4 where we saw Swag and ken d fall from 1st place. samandrea took over the top spot following a 12-3 mark, followed by batonrougeescapee, and defending champion, Collegecard.

This week's slate promises to be as compelling and competitive as last week's, and I suspect there will be no games where everyone picks the same team -- as was the case where we all missed Duke.

We have Thursday night action in the form of Stanford @ Washington.

Then we have a great slate of Saturday games, starting with Miami @ Georgia Tech and ending with the prime time bout -- Louisville @ Clemson.

http://sportsfan.decro.net/picks

Good luck to everyone.

Week 5 is OPEN for pickin' business.

I'm kinda surprised that everyone, so far, is picking Miami to win at Georgia Tech...

Then again, the Canes had a week off to prep.

Fun fact: UNC and Duke both, AGAIN, have bye weeks before Georgia Tech. They on average have one before GT every year.

GT faces 3 ACC Coastal division opponents coming off of byes (Miami, UNC and Duke) - the most of any ACC team.

2016 Schedule analysis - Bye Weeks

That's ok, UNC will get theirs next week when VT catches them coming off a bye, while the Heels have to lose a travel day (and maybe a hot tub recovery day too) after returning from Tallahassee...

Go and look up the last time GT played a schedule without anybody in NC getting a bye before the GT game. And how many times (if any) that has happened since 2008 when PJ arrived. That'd probably be interesting to look at.

Interesting "Geek" Stats --

* 7 players have changed one or more of their picks this week

* 10 games in the slate have seen at least one changed mind on a pick

Paul Johnson is 2-6 against Miami. Paul Johnson is 2-6 against Mark Richt. Combine the two and... GT ain't winning this game any time soon.

This should be a wild and woolly weekend. Whoever wins this week will have earned that big cash prize you promised. 07-coffee3
