So now how many games does Chad Morris have to win this yeat to not be replaced at $MU by Les Miles?

It's pretty classless to fire your national championship winning coach in the middle of the season.

Les deserved better than that and it isn't as if any change right now is going to do much for them.

Agree with this wholeheartedly.

They did this to appease fans and donors that were calling for his head. But I agree he deserved better than this. Nothing can drastically change a team coaching wise at this point in the season.

And it's not like they are terrible because they were never going to play in a major bowl this season to begin with.....Even if Saban was coaching they would probably lose 2-3 more games.

I know it's just the nature of the business ... but two SEC titles and a national title ... nope, get the hell out and don't come back.

Now it begins in Louisville and Houston...Petrino or Herman are likely their first two targets...Petrino has a $10 Million Buyout and Lamar Jackson...Herman might be the easier get.

I'd say more likely to ESPN. He turns 63 in a month or so. I just don't see him wanting to restart coaching.

Some chatter has Briles on the list of potential replacements.

That's got to be considered by any coach looking at the job. That said, Miles steadfast refusal to coach an offense from this century was bound to eventually bite him in the butt.

It's a what-have-you-done-lately type of business. You can't ride a NC indefinitely, into the sunset. Better to make a clean break now and not have all the media harassment for the rest of the season.

Herman coached in the state of Texas from 1998 - 2008, then two quick steps at Iowa St and Ohio St before back in Texas. Seems like a Texas guy.

Briles is undoubtedly a Texas guy. Is from Texas, played in Texas, and has only ever coached in Texas.

Don't think either are SEC guys.

LSU gets a LOT of players out of Texas...part of their Louisiana base which is also very rich.

A lot of teams get players from Texas. I think my point still stands. But I could absolutely end up being wrong.
