Unfortunately, those 2 are head and shoulders above the rest of the MAC.
Ya never know. I remember NIU going 12-0 with a Fiesta Bowl on the line and getting slammed by BGSU in the MACC. Which makes your win over BGSU so great.
I agree, I think the Rowers and the Turds are the real deal, but stuff happens. NIU had 653 yards with a different QB today. Hopefully our offense is back on track, but our defense is still questionable, at best, and out punter can't kick.
We'll have to really buckle up for the Rowers, and unfortunately we're in a down year for the Chicago game with Toledo.
Anyway, great win for you guys today. Good luck, except for the NIU game, of course.

Luckeyone stole my thunder, and I would agree with the assessment of 200-300 fans there supporting Eastern. Conversely, Bowling Green had maybe 7,000 fans in their stadium, but it seemed like the Eastern fans were out-cheering them. The four wins so far were teams we needed to beat, and we did. The other point about this Eastern team compared to years past, when we fall behind in the score, they don't give up. To me that's a big difference.
Yeah I'd agree we were out cheering them at some points. Our fans were getting really into it, it was great

RE: Game Week: @BG
I drove down at the last minute and thought I was going to be late. Then I found out they delayed the game due to lightening.
Some Obversations:
- Nice atmosphere at BG
- PA system terribly loud with an annoying Falcon screech after big plays, first downs, etc.
- Two turnovers in the first half, a dropped toss by Erickson and an interception from Porter. They cost us a scoring drive and gave BG their scoring drive.
- Porter doesn't have a lot of zip on his passes.
- One of Porter's better plays was the one he got hurt on. He was going to be sacked and threw it away. Last week he tried to complete similar plays.
- Austin Barnes had an outstanding day.
- Secondary getting burned and missed tackles - in the first half.
- BG's QB seemed awfully erratic.
- WR pass downfield to Kilby was slightly underthrown, but very good for a non-QB. I think it was 11, Holder.
- Porter's injury leaves us very thin at QB.
- It looked to me like they opened the playbook when Roback came in.
- Bailey made an outstanding catch by taking it away from a DB and falling into the end zone.
- Daughtery returning kicks instead of Banham.
- DL Pass rush seemed ineffective
- Luke McLean went out with what looked like a shoulder or collar bone problem. It didn't look good. And that seemed to be when BG's offense started playing better. That could be a big loss.
- Our running game didn't get going until late.
- RB Turner had a nice game.
- Fantastic final drive by EMU to close it out. Ahead by three, the O ran the ball down the field and ran the clock out. BG knew it was coming, but was unable to stop it.

If anyone's interested, Lyke and Creighton will be on WXYZ's (Channel 7) morning sports show tomorrow at 11:00.
The more media coverage the better.

What's the injury situation coming out of this win? Banham? Porter may be out a while so who now backs up Roback? Are any players previously injured ready to go?

What is the story on Porter?
I saw that he got hurt, but don't know what or how serious.

I watched it. Nice to see emu get get some publicity from the local media. Interestingly, John U Bacon was also on the show. He recently criticized EMU saying they should give up on D1 football. Wonder how any conversations between Lyke, Creighton, and that UM jocksniffer may have gone backstage.
