RE: Maddie
I have to admit that I did not see Maddie's excellent performance coming. He played very well and deserves the opportunity to be the starter. Then, as the opportunity presents itself we need to give the young guys some touches so that we hopefully find a better back up for him other than Graham and so we know who we should go forward with next season.

Maddie looked great. But I'm worried this is just a case of back-up Magic. I've seen enough of Maddie to think he's not as good as he was yesterday. Im now pretty sure the same can be said about Graham. Some guys are better off the bench. Less pressure. Once you're named the starter you carry that weight all week.

Aren't you the guy who started Graham would have won by 3 TDs thread?

That was Rabbit Squirrel......totally different guy. We get confused for each other often.

RE: Maddie
It won't matter how well Maddie plays if we don't solve the problems on defense and the coaching staff. We'll end up on the losing end of high-scoring games and still go 2-10. The defense still can't tackle (it will be a season-long problem unless we get some new blood in there), can't cover, and can't rush the QB. Huff did a good job of hiding the blocking issues and Maddie did a great job of getting rid of the ball quickly. It all didn't matter because the coaches decided to take the game out of our best players' hands and decided Maddie was going to Lynch his way to a victory. How did that work out? There are so many problems on this team that even great performances by three players (Maddie, Huff, and Galloway) isn't enough to win a game against an FCS opponent. We have coaches that can't evaluate talent, can't get guys to tackle or block, can't manage the clock, can't teach discipline, and choke when the game is on line. That's a lot for the players to overcome.
