Offense really clicking with Milton at the helm. Only a special teams blunder, other than that we're looking like a well oiled machine.

I don't know much about them... I thought FAU and FIU both had nice new stadiums and got bumped up to cUSA?

I don't think they'll drop to FCS, but they have had trouble getting fan support but more importantly getting talent from the area to stay. Their athletic dept seems to be always trying to get " name" hires rather than working on building a strong program with good coaches. They could go 0-12 this season.
It's tough in this area with the Dolphins and UM. Plus fans are very fickle. Still I always thought with the right coach and focusing on local players they could build a steady program with some support. They are never going to be drawing more than 20k

FIU might be terrible, but after going 0-12 last year with an FCS loss blowing anybody out is a big deal.

UCF looks sharper than the Pirates did today, but I think we will be ready next week.

FIU is pretty terrible. I'm glad Milton got another game of experience before heading towards ECU, but I quite honestly don't like our chances

They gambled hard and fell hard.

FIU for example was a recent move up to the SBC. They were horrible but got lucky and got Mario Cristobal as a HC and a NFL WR Ty Hilton? They won the SBC once or twice if I'm not mistaken then instead of just letting their program enjoy the success begged CUSA to let them in.

Since then it's been a disaster.

We're about 20 yards shy of 2015's total rushing yards, and we haven't even faced an AAC defense yet.

Sure, the two wins are over middling competition, but we lost to the same middling competition last year. I don't expect us to compete for the eastern division title, but I think a bowl game is certainly within the realm of possibility. That would be a great jump over last year.
