EMUs competitive vs Wyoming in first half
We will have our hands full when we play them. They are getting lined up running plays and everything.

Both teams look bad. I think there have been four turnovers so far.

You guys do know that if we played Wyoming at home at 6PM we would have destroyed them, right?

Well we made so many excuses to talk up our loss to them. We played late, the elevation, Wyoming is improved, they have the best RB in college football, etc etc.

Excuses are just that...excuses

RE: EMUs competitive vs Wyoming in first half
I like EMU's head coach. He has recruited guys that can PUNT, pass and kick in the shadow of the Big House which is not easy to do. They have a class act for an AD too. I wish them well when they are not playing the Huskies.

Edited to add that the gray field is stupid

RE: EMUs competitive vs Wyoming in first half
Wyoming's QB Allen was named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week after lighting up NIU. At halftime vs Eastern Michigan he has negative rushing yards, 100 yards passing and zero touchdowns. Brian Hill, their star RB, also only has 30 yards. When did Eastern Michigan become an elite defense...

NIU is 3 for 3 so far this season on having opposing players named offensive players of the week by their respective conferences after playing NIU. That is not a good trend. I can only hope that the Missouri Valley player of the week for week 4 is not from Western Illinois...

Week 1: Josh Allen MWC Player of the Week
Week 2: Quinton Flowers AAC Player of the Week
Week 3: Donnel Pumphrey MWC Player of the Week

RE: EMUs competitive vs Wyoming in first half
We just have an atrocious defense that can't tackle runners, cover receivers, or rush passers. That needs to change quickly or the losing will continue...

EMU watched NIU play Wyoming and their coaching staff saw what not to do.

That's kind of a grey area there.

Only thing keeping Wyoming in the game is EMU's QB. Guy has four INTs and two of them returned for TD.

I do not know that. Seeing as how Wyoming players play so well with the low oxygen at high elevations, as opposed to NIU players. At lower elevations, they feel like Popeye, after he eats a can of spinach.

RE: EMUs competitive vs Wyoming in first half
Wyoming's offense has scored 10 points midway through the fourth. If EMU didn't gift them two pick 6's they would be losing this game by multiple scores. EMU has thrown four interceptions and is still somehow only one score down.

Josh Allen looked liked Michael Vick against NIU with 70 rushing yards. He has 3 rushing yards against EMU with zero rushing or passing TDs.

He has made some boneheaded throws and I think he got the hook.

And hence what some of us have been saying for some time: EMU is no longer a guaranteed win and a good chance for a loss.

They should, Wyoming is not a good team. We just suck and made them look good. They only have 10 points on offense, their other 14 points were thanks to the previous EMU QB.

Body language of EMU players has been so much better tha NIUs throughout the game not just at the end.
