In looking at the game notes for this week, I noticed that not only is Alton Meeks not on the depth chart, but he has not played at all this season. I thought he was running with the 1st and 2nd string this spring? Just curious if he is injured or if he is in Carey's dog house for some reason? It would seem that an extra body to rush the passer with Big XII experience might be helpful.

he's listed as a redshirt junior, per NIU athletics site.

My understanding is he is on scout team. Available healthy and evaluated as a scout team talent ??

I brought this up after the Wyoming game. He was supposed to be the starting end but didn't even travel there. Not sure what happened and there hasn't been any questions asked about it to Carey. I heard a lot of hype before the season so I can't believe he is suddenly not even good enough to dress.

Maybe one of our reporters should ask about Meeks.... We want Meeks! Make T-Shirts....

I told you he is available and practiced and did all of fall camp he is on scout and only dresses for home games he did not make the travel squad. Just cause a kid played for iowa state does not earn him playing time we have better guys at his position. not just mnot good enough to start he does not travel no issues just not good enough to play right now >> you dont meed a reporter there is no story lol
