Trouble at Southern Cal?
http://www.theleadsports.com/stories/did...-the-face/

Lots of rumors out there. Freshman OG EJ Price may have punched head coach Clay Helton in the face and rumors exist about a possible mass exodus of transfers from the school.

Rumored to be among those considering a transfer are OL Chuma Edoga, recently demoted QB Max Browne, and WR/CB Keyshawn Pie Young.

CB Adoree Jackson and WR JuJu Smith are also widely expected to declare for the NFL draft as soon as the season is over.

Apparently Clay Helton has offered to sign the transfer papers of any player who wants to leave.

This is a predictable consequence of limiting your AD hiring pool to former "Trojan Heroes", and hiring someone with no experience in athletic administration who is also distracted from the job by a boatload of outside business interests.

When Clay's Dad Kim Helton coached Houston, I wanted to punch him in the face repeatedly.

Coach has refuted this story on ESPN and said that the freshman who was going to redshirt this year will transfer to a school closer to home to help him deal with family issues and homesickness.
But this has been a chaotic year for USC--you didn't even mention the Osa Masina dismissal in light of rape charges he is facing.

So glad he ditched AState for an assistant gig at USC opening the door to hiring Hugh Freeze as OC.

USC has the "OU" problem in that they most likely don't have a problem at all, they just played their two most difficult games in the first 3 weeks of the season.

Yes, OU will get "healthy" playing against finesse teams in the Big XII, but their problems will resurface the next time they play a team that can punch them in the mouth. Whether that is bowl season or 9/9/17 when they travel to Columbus remains to be seen.

Yep, their next punch in the mouth will be in the Sugar Bowl.

Maybe. Texas was able to punch them in the mouth last year. Jim Grobe is known for physical football as well.

That'd be treason going from USC to Notre Dame. And I have stake in that argument, my dad played at USC.

Seems to me the Helton family is good at bringing down once great football programs.

I can't really blame Max for wanting to transfer. He was a 1 QB recruit who has sat on the bench his entire college life, guy is working on his MS degree. But the reality is that he isn't cut out to be a QB yet. I think he would have been great if he went somewhere like Memphis and played for 4 years.

The rest is just frustration, we were expected to be one of the best teams in the country.
