We can just stay the week in Selma, eat at Pasquale's, and save money...

My bad, I just saw the bold print that said "Alabama has locked in it's first opponent of 2019" and glossed over the rest and missed the actual date.

RE: Looks like we open in Tuscaloosa in 2019...
Yep, we've come full circle. We are back to square fn' one. We had emerged in a solid CUSA as a contender edging further and further away from whoring ourselves out annually. Then CUSA was raped, we were left behind in a conference worse than the Sun Belt and our AD at the time hired a complete failure of a coach. So with all that going down our TV contract was diced and sliced to pennies on the dollar and we are left with zilch to show for our years and years of winning.

And here we are again back to square one....where it all started. Meaningless games against sub par competition with the occasional "big" game of which is high risk high reward just so we can keep the lights on. We are whores again living in a ram-shackled one bedroom apartment ....just craptacular.

Why are we playing Southern (Baton Rouge) or Troy or South Bama or App St.???? These are terrible games...nothing to gain and EVERYTHING to lose. It's bad enough we are whores to begin with but could we please stop intentionally destroying our program. Hell I'd rather just be a whore 3 times a season rather than one and replace Troy, S. Bama, etc with other big money games. That is unless our ADs goal is to actually join the Sun Belt.

Who do you want us to play then? P5 teams aren't knocking down the door wanting to come to Hattiesburg.

The McGillis scheduling model seems to be this: 1 P5 whore game, 2 FBS home/home, 1 FCS buy game. Get used it.

Ya do what ya got to do to survive. It aint gong to get any better with this spread out crap conference. We either make a change to more regional conference, or end up fcs. Not an if, but a when.

Lol... That is our problem here, we have gotten used to mediocrity here and some of you like it and are "excited" about it.

Are you referring to the people, who are scared to go into the big boys' place and try to knock them off like we used to? I'd rather travel to the Alabamas and Auburns while trying to get home games with the Kentuckys and MSUs, than settle for South Alabama, Charlotte, UTSA etc.

Why is it a "whore game" to see the Eagles actually play an interesting opponent? Our conference slate is crap, so I'm personally glad we still play games that are relevant. Can't win 'em if ya don't play 'em.

Exactly! Guess another option is to play them...but dont get paid = dumb. But then the cry babies can't call it a whore game. If we had nothing but cupcakes on the schedule, the same cry babies would pout if we won 12-14 games but only ranked 25th bc we get no respect.

We would also be much poorer. Thats another thing these cry babies whine about.
