I don't feel it's a coincidence that the MAC's "attendance" fluctuates pretty much right at the 15k NCAA mandated average.

RE: Week 3 Attendance
from Ohio's athletic dept-
"ATHENS, Ohio- Ohio Athletics would like to thank fans for establishing a football season ticket sales and revenue record for the fourth consecutive season.
All told, season ticket sales have nearly tripled over the last four seasons – and now stand at over 8,000 total season tickets for the first time in program history. Over those four seasons, total season ticket revenue has also increased 182%. "

Yeah, good news.
And CMU could draw 30K for WMU Oct 1.
A 30K crowd nicely compensates for a few small crowds as the weather gets cold in mid-Michigan come November.

The MAC should allow each school to have at least one good conference game on a Saturday by mid-October.
For NIU it might be a game vs. WMU, CMU, or TOL. (BTW, CMU plays at NIU on a Saturday in mid-October).
I believe Kent and Akron will be a Saturday game in October.

RE: Week 3 Attendance
Miami is inflating quite a bit if you compare butts in the seats with photos at the game, but we had really awful weather to deal with both Saturdays. If we upset UC and it's nice out next week we'll have a big crowd for family weekend against OU and from there it might be okay. Oherwise it'll probably fall off a cliff because odds are decent that we start 0-6.

Rumor going around that the Kalamazoo community has not been buying tickets for tomorrow night's game. Not sure why.

Georgia Southern sounds like a D-II name to the average college football fan.
