I agree that it's important that the team didn't lay down on Saturday and kept fighting. However, I feel that we are way past celebrating moral victories as a program. That ended years ago for me. So, it's nice to see a positive message since most of the comments are negative but let's just win a game so we can start to put this stuff behind us.

Better than an immoral victory.

When we are struggling as we are looking for positives to build on is appropriate. That is all he is doing and I agree.

I disagree with any moral victories. You either win or lose. We should not be 0-3. This is not a college safe space, there are no participation medals....we suck right now.

You are correct,,this is NOT about moral victories.. This is about showing guts, determination, and improvement. Instead of laying down in the second half they came out and made a game out of it against a real good team.
I give them credit for that. I am looking for additional improvement this next game

Right, how dare we say something POSITIVE! Thanks for bringing us back to reality georgey, we were really starting to get out of control! Thank goodness for you sir! Oldtimer had taken it way, way too far with that post!

If it wasn't for them not giving the ball to #19 for 3 drives, it was a beating. They didn't want to run up the score, but as soon as we got close, gave it to #19 and he torched us on two EASY scores.

You could tell that #20 is the heir apparent to #19, and SDSU was not going to risk a major injury to #19 in a blowout. When the game was got close, it was time to bring out 19 again.

I can confirm that #20 Penny IS the heir apparent to #19... I was chatting with a couple SDSU boosters in the Endzone Club for most of the game & they said Penny (#20) will be going Pro- 1st round no doubt. Said he was a beast & way better than #19, but he's younger and will get his full time shot next year. From what I saw in minimal action... I think they are right.

Most have some strong kool aid down in San Diego. Penny has less than 100 career carries and is averaging 5.48 yards per carry. I don't care who he is playing behind...if he's a first round NFL pick he would be getting on the field more. Reminds me of people here thinking that Lurry could leave after this year to enter the NFL draft.

Congratulations to the team!!

you do realize NIU outscored SDSU by a whole 7 points in that half. Are we so needy for moral victories that we are counting this as one?

I want to congratulate General Custer for not giving up in the second half of the battle. It shows real heart.

haha.... yes the Kool Aid was indeed flowing!! I'm just reporting intel. 1st round you're probably right that he won't go there; but he seems like more of a bruiser with speed than #19 who seemed like all speed if untouched as he was a few times on Sat.
