RE: UAB Basketball Official Visits And Recruiting Updates
Negron just whittled his list down to UAB, DePaul, Oregon State, Loyola, and Bradley.

If he sets up a visit I say it's down to us and DePaul.

RE: UAB Basketball Official Visits And Recruiting Updates
A couple of updates from yesterday and this past weekend:

As Drew Champlain said, Gabe Grant's visit went well. Hopeful to hear a decision from him sooner rather than later.

Makhtar Gueye, who is visiting this weeekend, will sign with a school during the early signing period. He will not wait until the spring.

For one reason or the other we are no longer recruiting Elijah Joiner. He will not be visiting on October 13th like originally planned.

That's a possibility. One could guess he didn't want to come here after we landed Bryant, but we were still in contact with him after the fact. Just odd because it was reported not too long ago he was planning on visiting us Oct. 13th.

Also - I think Missouri just landed a commitment from a PG yesterday. Off the top of my head I believe Illinois State has been recruiting him the longest. Iowa State & Illinois State could be the favorites.

Could it be we have found our backcourt in Bryant and Christon with Grant as a three and mizzou wants Joiner to play the two and complete their backcourt.

I haven't. They are late to the party and got an OV in mid-September. A lot can happen between now and November.

If you'd asked me to rank the 6 players in order of skill/expectations I'd have picked EC last. I'm pretty shocked he didn't make it his visit. Then again, we may have cooled off on him but that would be hard to believe considering our staff was in his parent's house last week.

I agree he was like the 6th best based on highlights. He was a pretty efficient player in one article i read 80 percent ft shooter in one tournament. I like the fact he could get to the rim and finish dont know how many guards we have that can do that. Its definitely surprising seeing a in home visit then no return visit.

Yeah I saw EC as a backup in case we lost out on several guys left on that list.

Not that these guys are priorities or have a UAB offer, but UAB has been by to see
Iran Bennett - 6'9 335 and TJ Massenburg.

Is 335 a misprint?
