Exclamation Bowling Green...
I really thought this would be a tough game for the Tigers at the beginning of the year, but BGSU royally sucks this year. Should be an easy win for Memphis, which is essential to our bowl chances. Only way I could see this ending badly is if we are looking towards Ole Miss...

Jinxes don't exist. If the Tigers come out focused they'll win by 3 TDs

If Memphis doesn't win by 3 TDs, then the team is in trouble.

BG lost head coach, QB, RB, 3-4 WRs...living off name only from last two years.

MTSU just beat them by 20 at BG.

Eh stuff happens sometimes. The most important thing is to get the win. A blowout would be nice but a closer than comfortable game is not necessarily telling about the rest of the year. Arkansas beat Louisiana Tech 21-20 and then turned around and beat #15 TCU the next week... Just win.

Point taken, but LATECH isn't bad either...got in a shootout with TX TECH last weekend. They can play.

Stats are rolling in after the first 3 weeks that paint a picture.

BG is not good.

True, things happen and just win...but...the Tigers SHOULD win by 3 TDs.

oh yeah? TV used to guarantee wins...and we'd lose in a landslide. We convinced him one time NOT to make a prediction...we won.

It's just his thing. He likes to set Memphis up to fail. If we cover - no accountability - we were supposed to. But if we don't cover - he will be here to point it out. He did the same thing with KU. We covered, so he has to keep fishing.

True but BG is ranking badly in advanced stats.

Memphis is not.

I'm just telling the bettors who to take based on advanced stats amigo.

Without crazy turnovers or injuries this is more than a 16 point spread.

Blame the stats if you don't like it.

Having said that it really depends on whether the Tiger D is for real or not. Stats have them high but that's against SEMO and KU.

Make that 3 quarters. 2nd half of SEMO was not that great.

BGSU is literally one of the worst defensive teams in the country. We should put up points...

Yep.

Even with a DIAA team on the schedule, they are getting outscored 48-19 after three games.

BG fan here. Reports are true, bgsu is terrible right now. Defense improved this last game, but the offense is the worst thing you'll ever see. We have three passing TDs to 8 interceptions and average 3.7 a carry. I wouldn't be surprised if Memphis ends up winning by more than three TDs.

First off, how did the WR Lewis not get drafted? I saw he was an invite to the Giants camp.

Second, I thought that the backup QB and RB did alright in mop up time last year - is the WRs/OL maybe that are the issue - or is the QB not good?

RE: Bowling Green...
Lewis had some legal issues before getting to BG that scared some teams off, he probably should have been drafted in the 3rd or 4th round.

As far as this years team, we lost some major talent at receiver, so there isn't really a guy who's going to stretch the field. QB play has been beyond abysmal, too many bad decisions, especially under pressure or when trailing on the scoreboard. A few of his passes were desperation throws without a receiver within 10 yards of the pass. Receivers haven't learned to fight off DBs for the ball either. They are getting better as time goes on. RBs are good, but when you have very little passing threat, running lanes have been nonexistent.

Frankly, I'm hoping to see the backup QB in the game this week.
