I am Catholic and I don't like much of what the Pope says.

This isn't from me but the catholic catechism strongly says that anyone who doesn't hold to every edict of the catholic church through it's laws (catechism) is anathema, meaning cursed, and not a catholic.

So what it says is that you should hold dear and strongly to every edict or you will be subject to ex-communication. You better hide or you'll be in their crosshairs.

Hopefully they have bigger fish to fry, like abortion loving politicians.

Let's hope but it won't happen. I wonder how many politicians they have ex communicated in the twentieth century?

No idea, not many.

God is absolutely telling you where you will go if you reject Him and His Son.

MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT.

We warn you out of love and compassion.

What is sad and funny at the same time is that I think you really believe that.

really?

Because He is offering to forgive you for every sin you have ever committed or ever will, and offering to make you an eternal, incorruptible God FOREVER.

And He is making is a CHOICE.

Your life does not end with mortal death my friend.

God Himself came down to earth and humbled Himself by being born in the flesh, and was tortured and murdered when He was completely innocent. He is not asking us to do anything He Himself did not do and experience. He spilled His own blood and tasted death to give us a second chance to live with Him forever as Sons of GOd.

Actually he said it was "dangerous" to have a personal relationship with Christ.

He also said that Atheists, buddists and Muslims can achieve salvation through good works and charity.

All blasphemies and in total contradiction of the Words of Christ.

That's the difference between Christianity and Islam. Christianity threatens your afterlife if you don't accept Jesus as your savior and Islam threatens your current life if you don't submit to Mohammad and Islam.

Just the fact that you doubt He exists will not bear well for you. And I wouldn't call it lucky it's a gimme. Solely on your doubting that God exists will give you that lucky different place that you so much want to go.

You have your choice and you will get your "just" reward. All will pass through His judgment. There's still time Kenny.

"Wolves in sheeps clothing" is to be expected according to Christ and the NT.

The Scriptures tell us to study daily and watch carefully so we will be able to discern false preachers, teachers and doctrines.

George Mario Bergoglio is a false teacher with a false doctrine.

Jesus Christ invented Christianity. Not Romans or popes.

The Church began in Jerusalem. The bible was written by Jews.

RE: More idiocy from "The Pope"
The question of why do good non-Christians go to hell appears to be a tough one on the surface but in reality the answer is simple.

God offers to everyone a the opportunity to go to Heaven. It is up to each individual if they chose to accept it. The good people on this board have all heard the Gospel. Why should someone who doesn't believe receive the same award as someone who does? Is that fair? I think not. A good football player may be talented but if he doesn't listen to the coach, he won't play. It is the same with Christianity. God's decision is completely fair, you just chose not to accept it.

What does the bible say about judging?

“Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven.

Something along those lines. This life is hard enough without people judging others. My relationship with Christ is different. I would never feel comfortable in telling others in what to believe or how to believe. You go from helping and serving others to turning people off. Lead by example.

Christians are absolutely supposed to be able to discern between a Christian and a lost sinner. Between sound doctrine and lies.

RE: More idiocy from "The Pope"
I hate how every Christian discussion on this board turns into the false narrative that Catholicism is not Christian. It is ridiculous. I am from a Methodist background and still am a Methodist but I attended Catholic high school. Thus, I witnessed firsthand the Catholic faith. It is Christian. In fact, the Catholic religion teacher there saved my faith. It is outrageous for me to hear that he, Shiftyeagle and HOD are not Christians.

Many Protestants due to being naïve misunderstand several elements of Catholicism.

They don't worship Mary or the Saints. They ask them to intercede with God on their behalf. In fact, I have a patron saint, Saint George. I don't pray to him. I merely requested him to come to God with my prayers. Don't most, if not all, Christians speak out of our relatives looking down on us watching out? Same thing in theory.

Also, confession comes under fire. I personally are not a fan of it. I believe forgiveness comes between you and God, but Catholics aren't using it as a get out of jail free card.
