No question that Carolina is good enough to go to a bowl. That doesn't mean they will. They've pulled defeat from the jaws of victory before.

Actually, I think Wake Forest's chances are a little better than Carolina's. They need six wins. They probably have three sure losses in their division. But every other game is winnable: Indiana, NC State, Syracuse, Army, Virginia and BC. Win just half of those and they are in.

Bud gets about a million dollars a year, good for 13th nationally among assistant coaches.
