we've been there before.
Josh's first two years...our big men were Spoon and Will Coleman.

Not a Poor job recruiting...surely you are kidding.

So he's done a poor job recruiting?

According to you...Remember the premise (you cant have it both ways)...Please keep up.

Give up...As you can see your argument is not logical or consistent.

As many times as he's tried to drop the mic...this is what it looks like.

According to him, recruiting is everything all summer long. Now it's irrelevant. The talent is already there. And who needs recruits anyway.

He tries too hard and is not fooling anyone. Except maybe one clueless guy I know.

Just once more so it reaches the thick bricks.

I never said there wasn't talent on the roster. Never.

I did say there are deficiencies and pushed the staff to get as many players as possible to strengthen said deficiencies.

In summation - recruiting was average at best, the roster is still flawed, but there is talent and athleticism.

Thankfully it appears they will have two bigs to rotate in the middle though both are unproven.

I think everyone's fear is seeing Dedric playing center against UCONN or OU.

If Dedric plays center more than a few minutes we will never sign another Lawson, giving Dad a job or not.

What a bunch of bums.

National title?

Bubble/at large

IF

They avoid the injury bug and the rest of the roster pitches in as well - Randall, Martin, Jake, maybe Azab, etc.

The schedule isn't all that difficult aside from a handful of games.

The group should gel by Feb/March.

Either at large/bubble or team good enough to get to NYC in the NIT.

IMO

A month ago you said we were going to have a losing season. Exposed?

They added players?

NEXT

Define players.

RE: ? about Tubby's system
There was enough talent to be an at large team the past two years. There's enough there to get to the tournament this year. It isn't going to be a team that gets to the sweet sixteen without more luck than is reasonable to expect. It isn't going to be a perfect team. Teams built the right way will probably expose that. But you don't need to be a perfect team to get into the tournament. Honestly if we lay off the sub 100 losses and grab a top 50 win or two, that could be enough. We'd be a 12 seed. But we might get in. And this team is good enough to not lose to Tulane, USF, ECU and UT Arlington, and the whole sad sordid list of sub 100, and sub 200 losses we took under Pastner.

But it only has the potential to be an at large team. I've mentioned culture before, and I think that's going to hold the team back. Too many forces pulling in too many directions for too long. I think it's more likely that if Tubby gets the momentum going the right way, that it will be towards the end of the season and the trendline would be closer to being a competitive NIT team.

I agree. This year will show us the difference coaching makes without enough horses. Next year, I expect to see what a good one can do with some horses.
