Hard to tell they're only win was a 1 point win over a bad docs team and got boat raced in both loses Ohio st and MTSU. I don't think they are fundamentally bad as ku but I think we should cover.

Memphis -17 is a lock, just as Memphis -20 v. Kansas was.

If they are really as bad as they looked against MTSU (hard to assess rain storm games) then -30 might be a lock.

BGU is just a slight notch above Kansas but both are terrible, terrible teams. -17 is ridiculous. Take that bet in a heartbeat. We should win by 30 at least.

Playing these trash teams before going to Oxford could be really good or could be disastrous

Even playing these two weak teams out offense is NOT where it should be. Have a lot of room to improve. Second half we were not able to line up and over power these lesser teams.

Good news is we are top 4 in 1st down defense. But 114th in 1st down offense.

Thought our OL was supposed to be a strength. But we are in the 100s is sacks allowed and tackle for losses allowed. Two very weak teams have lived in our backfield this year.

If you have shown very little of what you are able to do...when playing low rated teams before you play a ranked team...and that is a very good strategy...you can surprise OM. My guess is..we are doing just that. You may see a very different team playing against OM.

^^ Riley hinted at that in his post game presser with Wolo. Said he ran a similar offense at coffeeville cc last year and said there is a lot they haven't installed yet

Allowing the other two teams to set up residency in your backfield is not a strategy.

Have allowed 16 tackles for loss and 8 sacks allowed against two very poor teams. We have got to change this during the BGU game or OM game will be ugly.

Nah, I dunno, the QB protection has to be a concern.

And you have your head up your ass when it comes to reality. If something isn't done about the OL play we will have players hurt. It is a point of concern that must be addressed.

I can still remember twice in a five year period where we ended up with either a third string or moved player at QB due to a rash of injuries..

IMO, you cannot completely fault the OL. Defensive pursuit is going to happen. The QB has to be wise enough to know when to rocket the ball out of bounds. Ferguson hasn't shown that he knows when to throw the ball away yet. I'm desperately hoping his decision making & total field awareness grows by leaps & bounds over the next 10 days. He's not been terrible...but I guess I expected him to be further along mentally.

I was more thinking about us scoring 14 times to the other teams scoring 4 times without having to show much of our offensive was more meaningful.

RE: Memphis BGU line
Personally I just hope our Tigers pull out 7 or more wins and keep our bowl streak alive.

We lost our head coach and a first round QB

7+ wins and another bowl trip would be fantastic in my book.

all the years of being a die hard when it was very hard to be a fan makes this all very special to me

I've attended over 30 away games over a long period of time. Some PAINFUL road trips

The 80's and 90's were so hard to watch.

There was a point in 2001 after attending an humiliating loss at Miss State I even suggested we shut the program down. Gray Avenger called me out on that and to keep the faith. 2 seasons later we won the New Orleans Bowl. To this day I still thank GA to help me keep the faith.

Any winning season to the die hard long term tiger football fans is a great year.
