We really need to close that gap. And I am embarrassed for our players that that, more times than not, is what the LB looks like when it is time to celebrate a victory. We need to learn how to be better fans.

very few teams have fans that stick around until the end of the game especially in a blow out hell half way into the 4th qtr of LSU vs. Miss St the stadium was half empty

we had 35k show up on a hot, cloudy day to play against one of the weakest teams in the nation.

It doesn't have anything to do with the weather. It's like this at most games. I was there at the end to take this physical picture. I am there almost every game at the end to take a mental picture. I don't know why others can't be. I know why others don't WANT to be... and that is the problem. Their "want to" is the problem. And believe me, it's a problem. It may not be to you. But it is to those kids. It is in the eyes of recruits.

See that clump of people down at the end? That's the KU band (pep band only.... I wonder if we offered them the same deal Ole Miss offered us)+ some of their fans.
This is what they saw, as well. Keep that in mind.

I was about to say.....this doesn't look a whole lot different than the Kansas fans storming the field after their win a couple of weeks ago.

Additionally, the issue of the chairbacks separating the team from the band needs to be addressed, I think. Maybe the band needs to move south one section, like essentially the section where I'm standing when I took these two pictures. I know that's the student section, but they could back-fill where the band is now???

That celebration is for the kids. The people behind the Band and near the student section are enough. No need for us older folks to try to run way over there. By the time we get there it will be over. Those of you who can stay. Stay don't try to make everybody else feel guilty. It doesn't bother those young men. They are football players not toddlers? I see no one crying about people leaving or not waiting for the fight song. Heck folks can do like they want to they pay for their own tickets. Not me.

I stay to the end of every game. Wish other people would too but it doesn't bother me and I know the team largely doesn't care.
