Free NIU car flag as a gift?
I am a loyal season ticket holder, I'm ok with receiving many calls from the ticket office to renew my season tickets, I realize that's part of the process.

So I buy my season tickets, I also go to Wyoming...I like to think that I am doing the right things as a fan...so why is it that the staff can't figure out how to get these token gifts to us on time as promised?

It's not the gift itself that I am disappointed about...it's the fact that they didn't have them after the game as I was told they would...so they can't do a simple thing like this?

Again it's not the gift itself, it's the failure of whoever is managing this that angers me---they can't complete this small gesture, but they expect season ticket holders to stay loyal and happy.

Quid pro quo

They said the flags are coming in on Wednesday and they should have them beginning next Saturday.

that's fine---but again it's not the point--saying that they would have them and then not having them at all is the point...they can't complete simple and easy tasks

How in the hell have they not had these for weeks already? Also, I'm probably not going out of the way to get one of these. Send the damn thing to me.

Can I pick mine up at the Comiskey game in November? That's the only game I'll be making it out to Illinois for.

I was more disappointed in the fact that I though I read the Yard opened at 1130am, and I was there at 1145 and they were still setting up.. not prepared for the beginning seems to be NIUs MO

I believe you can have it mailed to you---which they should have just done in the first place---call the ticket office.

I know there are great people at NIU so I hate to call out anyone because it is not one single person's fault, but there has been a dramatic dramatic drop off in the athletic admin side this year. I have no idea what the cause is. My guess is they have one person doing three times the normal work as cost saving measures. It has been noticeable and alarming though.

Where do you pick up the flag when it is available? I remember the keychain and regular flag were mailed to us.

At the NIU customer service table at the far south end of the Yard.

Thank you. Was there a coupon to redeem for the flag in the season ticket package or do you just go up to them and give them your name? I'll give it a try on Saturday.

There was no coupon with the season ticket package - just a notice. I would assume that you just give your name at the table and they will have a list of season ticket holders. Of course, I may be assuming too much here.

Hire a bunch of interns????

The thing about hiring interns is you need students that are interested in being hired for the job.

I find it hard to believe they don't have any students interested. Class credit, amazing experience. Wouldn't be where I am today without working there for 3 years

I'm not disagreeing with that. Which department did you intern for? Marketing?
