George Washington fires Mike Lonergan
Those allegations of abuse on players chronicled in the Washington Post must have had validity. Coaches aren't fired a few weeks before practice for nothing. On the court, he had very good success winning the NIT last year. This will hurt the Atlantic 10 this year.

RE: George Washington fires Mike Lonergan
Not terribly surprised. Program routinely lost half the roster to xfers. If what I'm hearing is true, I'm glad my school dumped him and will take the bad season in stride. Team has no recruits this year, so it might not be as bad for the program as expected.

There appears to be fight between the AD and Lonergan too.
