Please, help start a tradition by spreading the word and participating in this.

For home games: Die-hard Tribe fans (that's you!) will gather tomorrow in the Compton parking lot at W&M Hall at around 2:30. A predetermined person will receive a text from one of the players, at which time the Compton parking lot group will line Yates Dr to send off the players to the Zable/Laycock Center.

This is a fine way to kick off festivities, unveil an improved Zable, but more importantly, show our players and staff just how devoted we are.

About 50 family and friends showed up last week so not a bad start. For the Elon game, meet at 3:25 in the Compton lot and line Yates Dr at 3:30.

I've seen video on TV of teams walk through their fans on the way to the stadium. The players look like they enjoy it and I bet it's a thrill for the fans too.

I hope this grows each week.

I participated in it at a Clemson game last year while tailgating. Great experience and it definitely pumps the players up.

Saw the Tiger walk at LSU, they rolled Mike the Tiger buy in his cage as part of this. Regretfully, Mike has cancer and isn't making these appearances anymore.

Not the right place for this post, but I figured Tribe Club members would be looking. Has anyone gotten a mailing from the Tribe Club that included a discount card? I use it for pizza from Anna's almost every week, and I haven't seen one for 16-17.

I got one for each season ticket I bought. I don't think I've ever used them (I generally go to Sal's), so if you're going to be at the game I can give you mine. PM me and we can figure it out.

Thanks to TribeintheBurg, who I think was referring to the $15 coupons from Anna's which I also got with my tix. I was actually asking about the little plastic card that has a number of discounts printed on it. My wife and I have started getting a small meat lovers pizza and a spinach salad to go from Anna's on a regular basis. Nice folks over there. I'm never able to go to the Shaver luncheons because of working for a living, but my wife used to go with her dad for many years before he passed away.
