Well, independence has taken ND from elite to above average so I would love for independence to take Texas from above average to average.

I think their academic requirements hurt them more than independence did.

No HOD, becoming a partial member has taken them from elite to above average. They had always been independent prior to the partial with the Big East and now the ACC. With partial memberships come fake girlfriends for overhyped players and a severe butt kicking in the BCS.
