It makes sense. They are a private. Donors are dying out. Enrollment is going to have to go up. Notre Dame did it. Stanford did it. It's a smart move for Vanderbilt to get ahead of the curve. Heck, even Duke has made an attempt. More students means a greater need for a place for them to congregate, become a part of the family so to speak, and to beckon them back when they are earning.

Vandy needs to make the small, in SEC terms, stadium become a home field advantage. Since a MLS ownership group is interested in sharing the stadium, I say be the first in college football with a a roof to protect the fans from rain and project sound back onto the field

Agreed. All they need to do is call whoever made Stanford's stadium and ask what the rook adder would be. Play two seasons in Nissan Stadium during construction.
