Will SEC allow team in Belk Bowl? SEC commish Greg Sankey: “Current circumstances merit further dialogue w/our conference membership"

Beyond what the school presidents might think, they have to consider that the players might pull a Missouri and not show.

BYU will play in it.

The title sponsor is based in Charlotte. It could get complicated if they try to move it out of Charlotte.

That hasn't happened and won't. Here is a statement from the guy who runs the bowl about the ACC title game leaving.

"The Charlotte Sports Foundation respects but is disappointed in the decision to move the ACC Football Championship away from the City of Charlotte. We are proud to have helped put on this event over the past six years. We recognize the economic impact moving the game and its events have on the Charlotte area. We will continue to work to bring high impact sporting events to Charlotte in the future, including the possible return of the ACC Football Championship Game.

That doesn't sound like someone who is considering moving his bowl game.

And it shouldn't be moved. Now if conferences choose not to send a team to represent them in the bowl then that's fine as well.
