All I know is I was big 12 hopeful post the Orange bowl as were many.....but if you saw the cincy/ Houston game last night..an AAC matchup... that atmosphere even puts our current situation to shame... we would be lucky for AAC at this point...

Good lord the highs and lows with this group are insane. We're still a program with a recent winning reputation, we've have great end zone and indoor practice facilities, and seem to be on the verge of a horseshoe-style stadium with a 40 million dollar luxury suites facility, and despite 5 losses in a row and the current suicidal tone on this board, we will always be included in the 3rd largest media market in the country.

The sky is not falling, maybe we needed a little adversity to shake things up. Lets take care of business, encourage the state to pull its head out of its *ss and move forward.

The current generation of NIU fan has never really experienced a 'bad football program'. I can understand the freak-out.

If we were 2-0 and the #6 team in the country came in, even if it was a MAC team, Huskie Stadium would be packed and loud. We don't get good teams to come in to HS very often. And wouldn't you know when we do, like this weekend, we're 0-2 and not looking very competitive.

My argument, as you could see, has nothing to do with success of the program. Our stadium/donor base/fan base/athletic fund/etc. don't even tough the Big 12, let alone the AAC. No one can argue NIU isn't a successful G5 football program, but it takes a lot more than that.

Don't forget our strong basketball schedule.
